Reciba ("we", "us") is a tool that turns invoices and receipts into a spreadsheet. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• The documents you upload: photos and PDFs of invoices and receipts. These are sent to our AI provider to extract the data you see on screen, then deleted from our servers immediately after processing — we do not keep copies.
• A lightweight processing log: the date, the vendor name and the amount of each document you process, so you have a history in your account. This log does not include the original file. You can delete it anytime from your account page.
• Basic technical data: your IP address, used only to prevent abuse (rate limiting) and never sold or shared for advertising.

How your documents are processed

When you process a document, its content is sent, over an encrypted connection, to Anthropic (Claude) or, as a fallback, Google (Gemini) — the AI providers that read the document and return the extracted fields. Neither Reciba nor these providers use your documents to advertise to you. Review each provider's own policy for how they handle API content: Anthropic does not train on API data by default; check Google's current terms for the model in use.

Payments

Reciba is currently in demo mode: all "payments" are simulated and no real money changes hands. When real payments are enabled, they will be processed by a third-party payment provider that never shares your full card details with us.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. It is not used for advertising or tracking across other sites.

Your rights

• Delete your processing history anytime from your account page.
• Request a full export or deletion of your account by emailing us — we'll act on it within a reasonable time.
